Relationships with Specialists at Many Law Firms - Partners in traditional law firms often have financial and other incentives to cross-sell the services of their partners. At GeneralCounselWest, there is no cross-selling within the firm. We do have relationships with some of the best lawyers in the country who we can engage on our client’s behalf on an as-needed basis.  When our clients need specialized counsel, our only incentive is to find the best lawyer for that particular issue, regardless of law firm affiliation.

Cost-Effective and Efficient - Hiring law firms with many attorneys can mean your effective hourly rate is much higher than the rate quoted for any individual lawyer and you are sometimes paying for the work of someone who is very junior and inexperienced.  At GeneralCounselWest, our clients pay for, and get the services of one attorney, Joe Schohl, unless we decide, together with our client, that there is specific work that can be done by a non-lawyer professional.
